Published every Wednesday, The Gazette is independently owned and operated and maintains a high standard of editorial excellence as evidenced by many provincial, national and international awards for news writing, opinion writing, photography, newspaper design and journalism quality.

The Gazette is the only media consistently providing news coverage of Fort Macleod, including town council, Livingstone Range School Board, the MD of Willow Creek council, Fort Macleod and District Chamber of Commerce, Minor Hockey, school sports, Minor Ball, Minor Soccer, Fort Macleod Royals baseball and much more.

The Gazette provides one-stop service for effective print advertising in Southern Alberta. The newspaper will design your ad and handle placements in newspapers across Alberta and into other provinces if required. The Blanket Classified and Value Ad service can further help advertisers reach every community newspaper in Alberta for one low price.

In addition, The Gazette publishes popular special sections including the Guide to Historic Fort Macleod, Santa Claus Parade Supplement, Fire Prevention Week, Salute to Agriculture, Back to School, Administrative Assistant Week, Remembrance Day, Small Business Week and Christmas Greetings.

In addition to publishing the newspaper, The Gazette provides many other services from its Main Street office including: photocopying, commercial printing, laminating, stationery, office supplies, personal cheques, business cheques, deposit books, photo reprints, rubber and self-inking stamps, faxing, e-mail, scanning and used book sales.

If you’re a history buff, stop by The Macleod Gazette for a free tour of the building which was built in 1907 as a livery stable and became the newspaper office in the 1930s. The Gazette has a collection of newspaper and printing artifacts, including cameras, typewriters, presses and metal handset type.
