Fort Macleod Christmas Festival Returns November 28!
Get ready to step into the magic of the season—Fort Macleod’s beloved Christmas Festival is back on Friday, November 28, and it’s shaping up to be one of our most festive celebrations yet!
This year’s Moonlight Madness brings extended shopping hours, special promotions, and holiday cheer from more than 20 local businesses. From cozy cafés and craft shops to hardware stores and boutiques, our community is coming together to welcome shoppers, families, and visitors for an unforgettable evening downtown.
Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. on the Devonian Walkway, where the first 500 people will receive a free hamburger or hot dog, served by the F.P. Walshe Grad Class of 2026. As you stroll Main Street, warm up by the fire pits, visit the Christmas Craft Sale, enjoy free children’s face painting, and stop in at your favourite local shops staying open late just for the occasion.
At 7:00 p.m., gather with friends and neighbours for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, featuring a performance by the choir from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We’ll also be honouring the 2024 Citizen of the Year, Landon Schneider, and 2024 Jr. Citizen of the Year, Hope Gouche.
The fun doesn’t stop there—enjoy sleigh rides, free skating, hot chocolate and cookies, a free movie at the Empress Theatre, and even artful fun with Dani in the Green Room.
This magical evening wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our local businesses, sponsors, and volunteers. The Fort Macleod & District Chamber of Commerce extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helps make the Christmas Festival a cherished community tradition.
Bundle up, bring the family, and join us for a night of community, celebration, and Christmas spirit. We can’t wait to see you there!
