Taste of Fort Macleod 2026

Taste of Fort Macleod returns on September 10, 2026, following an incredibly successful 2025 event that brought together hundreds of visitors, local restaurants, food vendors, beverage providers, and community members from across Southern Alberta for an unforgettable evening in downtown Fort Macleod.

Building on last year’s momentum, the 2026 event promises even more local flavours, entertainment, and community spirit. Whether you’re attending to sample amazing food, discover local businesses, or enjoy a vibrant night out, Taste of Fort Macleod is quickly becoming one of Southern Alberta’s must-attend community events.

We are currently seeking restaurants, cafés, food businesses, beverage vendors, and specialty food providers to be part of this exciting event. With 500+ attendees expected from both local and regional communities, Taste of Fort Macleod offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business, gain exposure, connect with new customers, and be part of a growing community celebration.

Taste of Fort Macleod 2026 is shaping up to be our biggest event yet, building on the incredible success of last year. We are currently accepting applications from food and beverage vendors to be part of this growing community celebration.

Spaces are limited and expected to fill quickly.

 Vendor Details

Event Date: September 10, 2026

Event Hours: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (3pm set up)

Event Location: Fort Macleod Historic Main Street

Only 24 vendor spaces available

Vendor Fee: $100 ($50 refundable setup deposit)

First come, first served

 

All vendors are required to provide sample-sized food and/or beverage items as part of the event experience.

Attendees purchase tasting tickets which can be redeemed at vendor booths, and vendors receive payout based on tickets collected during the event.

·        10’ x 10’ booth space maximum

·        No food trucks permitted

·        Vendors must provide their own setup and supplies

·        Vendors are responsible for required AHS permits

Health & Safety

  • All exhibitors must meet the standards under the Health Temporary Food Service Regulation. All exhibitors are responsible to contact and inform their Health Inspector in advance to ensure they meet all health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • A public health inspector may be onsite during the event to ensure compliance with the authority to shut down a food exhibitor.
  • A Hand washing/sanitizing station is a requirement for every vendor.

Set up/Tear Down:

Cookoff participants have eight feet (8') of space to set up your grill, equipment, table(s), etc. on September 10th from 12:00pm to 4:30 pm. Tear down starts at 9:30pm and must be complete by 11:00pm the same day. Exhibition hosts are entitled to remove all goods, exhibition materials, etc, at exhibitor's expense and risk which have not been removed by the specified deadline. Exhibition host reserves the right to determine the size an location of the exhibitor space.

Insurance:

The Fort Macleod Chamber has event insurance coverage for the event with covers the Chamber of
liability, however, does not extend to liability issues that arise from vendors. The exhibitor is liable
for any damages to persons, premises, or inventory caused by the exhibitor, their personnel,
suppliers, or by their goods and materials. The exhibition host is not liable for damages except
those caused by errors or negligence on the part of the exhibition host own personnel. All
exhibition goods and materials are at the exhibitor’s own responsibility and risk in every respect. In
their own interest exhibitors are advised to carry event insurance. In case of unforeseen
circumstances such as acts of God, mobilization, industrial action, lockouts, fire, government
regulation, or other circumstances over with the organization has no influence which impede
holding of the event, the organization reserves the right to transfer the event to other premises
and/or to limit the stand area, without incurring any liability toward exhibitors.

Payment of Deposit:

Your booth rental of $100 is required with your signed application. No exhibitor space will be designated until payment has been received. If cancellation occurs before August 1st, the deposit will be refunded. For cancellations after August 1st, no refund will be given. $50 will be awarded back to vendors that arrive and complete set-up on time for the event. I accept the above-stated conditions and do not hold the Fort Macleod Chamber of Commerce, venue, or its staff or volunteers legally responsible for any loss, damage, or theft incurred to myself, my employees, or my goods and equipment during this event. I understand that health and safety inspections may occur during the event and that I need to have the required permits and insurance required.
